Our first conversation is always diagnostic, not prescriptive: we want to understand your current structure before we say anything about what it should look like. Initial consultations are conducted in person at our Upper Hill Road office or by video call for clients outside Nairobi. We don't conduct cold outreach, and we don't pass your contact details to third parties.

Questions we hear before a first meeting
Is there a minimum portfolio size to work with Studyfieldq?
We don't publish a fixed minimum, because the right fit depends on the complexity of your situation more than the size of your portfolio. In practice, most of our engagements involve net assets above KSh 15,000,000 — but we encourage you to reach out and let us make that assessment together.
Do you manage my investments directly?
No. We're an advisory firm, not a discretionary asset manager or custodian. We produce strategy, analysis, and oversight. Execution remains with your existing custodian or fund manager, unless you ask us to help you select a new one through an independent search.
How long does the initial process take?
From your first contact to the delivery of a written findings memo typically takes four to five weeks. This covers two data-gathering sessions, a two-to-three-week analysis period, and a presentation meeting. There's no obligation to proceed to a paid engagement after the memo is delivered.
Do you receive fees from product providers?
No. Studyfieldq is compensated exclusively by client advisory fees. We do not accept commissions, referral payments, or any other form of remuneration from insurers, fund managers, or custodians. This is documented in our engagement letter before any work begins.
